I have two of these and bought another as a gift. It's awesome for a few reasons:1. It's a good conversation piece about how we used to check out books. Kids, years ago when you checked out a book you needed to write your name on this card and the librarian would stamp a due date on it. When you checked out a book you could see all the first and last names of anybody who had checked it out in the past. Ah, the good old days when you could have your name out there for all to see without anybody really being able to do anything with that info.2. I bought this for an older relative who says it's easy to grip and doesn't get heavy (because it really doesn't hold much).3. Only people who know what a book is, how to check it out Old School-Style, and how to read it will want to use your mug. In my social circle that opens it up to anybody, but depending on who is around you, you might be the only one who uses it. Nice!Get this mug. You'll love it.This was on my daughter’s Christmas gift list so I ordered it for her. It’s beautifully crafted, a great size and comfortable to hold.Nice heavy mug with very comfortable handle. I plan on buying a second one in a different color.Bought this for my grandma, a former teacher who loves to read. She LOVES it! The first time she used it, she spent a good 10-15 minutes staring at it intently: first waiting for the heat-activated redactions to disappear, then marveling over which books had been banned at one point or another and trying to figure out why some of them had been on that list. It’s marked hand-wash only, but that’s really the only knock I have on it, and it’s not a big enough hassle to remove any stars for it.I wanted this mug for so long and I’m so happy I have it now. It’s exactly what I expected. Fun, super pretty and a very good size. I love books so I found the print really awesome! So, wether you want it to drink coffee, tea, or whatever you like, you can also use it as decoration.A friend of mine is a reference librarian and I was sure she would enjoy this gift for her birthday. She enjoyed it very much.I already had one of these mugs. Of all the cups and mugs in my cabinet, it best "fits" the platform on my Nespresso machine without overhang and vibration during the centrifugal brewing process. If I accidentally break my older one, I now have a backup that I got $discounted, "very good" open-box condition.I purchased this for my Chewie loving sister who is a First Grade Teacher for mother's day. I could not have found a better mug for her to use while school is continuing online.I liked the colours and design of this mug. It arrived promptly and was well packaged. The only slight negative is that it was quite chunky but that is just personal preference.Excellent quality - solid mug, well made, haven’t had any issues with any of the markings fading - love it
