DESCRIPTION
Feed into your child's wild imagination!Deep in an underwater cave, an Octopus is waiting for its next prey. Oblivious to the danger, a Crab is looking for its meal. Who will get to eat?Is your child fascinated by crawling creatures? Is your precious one reenacting battles between bugs? If you are not afraid to feed into your child's wild imagination, then this book is for you!The art features realistic-looking octopus and crab engaging in battle of their lives. In this beautifully illustrated children's book that isn't afraid to look at the reality behind the hunt to maintain the never-ceasing circle of life, the reader will learn facts about each animal's behavior and anatomy as they strike their prey.Authors Note:The book series was inspired by watching our son obsessively reenact creature fights. In our living room he would stage carnal duels between spiders and snakes, wasps and bees, beetles and butterflies, octopuses and crabs and many others. Rather than calming down those destructive themes, we saw it as a natural step in development of the sensibility that informs his understanding of physical and social boundaries. We started writing children books to help steer those energies towards learning.

Loved the story of the octopus and crab looking for something to eat. I bought the book for my kids who are into underwater creatures. It was fun to see how my older boy dared to touch the crab's claws while my younger daughter squirmed begging him not to! Fun books to read to kids.
