From a little girl, I've always liked coloring books. Also, I like very much Carousel horses. I used to oil paint, but since the Rheumatoid Arthritis got so bad, I changed over to "adult" type coloring books. These horses are beautifully sketched. It gives indications where shadowing should be etc. When I color, I do it the same as I used to paint. All the lights and shadows are there etc. I color in both crayon, and metallic pencils. I've done two horses so far, and they came out good enough to frame.I think this type of coloring book would be better for an older child who is serious about "doing a good job of it". It is perfect for an adult who like me, has the love of color, shading, and would like to make a lovely project more beautiful. This is a lovely book, and a joy to work on. It has a calming effect. One can get so involved in this, that you don't realize how much time went by. I like it very much.Mak
